About the role
The Team Leader - Dry will have direct involvement in the Dry Processing Section and will be required to lead the Dry Processing Team by delegating tasks to the team members, provide advice and recommendations and ensure team members adhere to quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the team, providing direction and guidance
- Responsible for task allocation and work scheduling within a plan
- Ensure that team members follow the defined Kerry Manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures and comply with quality requirements
- Implement quality control techniques and procedures
- Motivating the team to achieve organizational goals
- Providing training of team members to maximize their potential.
- Provide onboarding training to new hires
- Empowering team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
- Conducting performance reviews
- Creating an environment that inspires the team
- Have the knowledge and leadership skills to relieve at a higher level
Qualifications and skills
- Previous supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Possess knowledge and experience across all functions, systems, responsibilities, and resources associated with the total job cycle, which includes Good Manufacturing Practice, Housekeeping, Quality Assurance and Occupational Health and Safety Standards
- Demonstrate an advanced level of interpersonal and communication skills which are applied to ensure increased effectiveness of the work area.
- Ability to lead by example and communicate with clarity whilst demonstrating excellence in approach to work and people activities
- Strong organizational skills to give the team direction.
- Computer literate – Microsoft Suite and SAP
