Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to join the Processing Plant team. Working an attractive 7 days on, 7 days off roster with rotating day and night shifts. You will be responsible for optimising performance of all operating circuits and conducting preventative maintenance inspections within the plant, whilst working safely and efficiently, by following sound operating philosophies and standard operating procedures and actively participating in the departmental training scheme to ensure optimisation of the plant occurs at all times.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform and coordinate plant inspections as per schedules and make adjustments according to set operating parameters and procedures.
  • Be accountable for the daily adoption of plans, schedules and work orders to meet changing conditions that will best achieve overall goals.
  • Inspect and audit work areas and practices for compliance with site standards, procedures, policies and consent conditions.
  • Conduct sampling for both metallurgical and operational control purposes.
  • Assist in resolution of shutdown, breakdown or start-ups situations
  • Isolation/restart of equipment in a safe manner during shutdowns, breakdown and start-ups.
  • Use of computers for plant monitoring (SCADA), maintenance notifications, stores issues. Leave applications (SuccessFactors), general site communications (email, RT etc) and other formats as required.
  • Report equipment that is damaged, worn, faulty or showing any other unusual signs to your supervisor and document in Pronto.
  • Uses mobile equipment for clean-up and other duties as required.
  • Undertakes all/any training offered with an open mind.

Qualifications

  • Full and current Class 1 Driver Licence, the ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred
  • Previous processing plant experience, or similar, will be well regarded.
  • First Aid Certificate would be highly regarded
  • Forklift, loader and skid steer loader experience an advantage.
  • Prior experience working in manufacturing or process related industry
  • Exposure to computers and working knowledge of MS office products
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial machinery
