PPG’s summer internship offers 12 weeks of paid experience that will involve you in real projects designed to help you discover your strengths. In Australia and New Zealand, PPG is a leading manufacturer of coatings for the automotive, refinish, protective, marine, packaging, architectural, and general industrial markets.
As a summer intern, you will have the opportunity to:

Based at our manufacturing site in Auckland, we are currently looking for enthusiastic Engineering students, who are keen to gain hands-on practical experience with a dangerous goods manufacturer. You will have exposure to a range of duties and will work closely with our maintenance and quality/continuous improvement teams. You will have the chance to take ownership of your project and will be given the opportunity to provide recommendations and solutions to PPG on your findings.
You will:
- Be in your penultimate or final year.
- Studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree.
- Be required to have full-time working rights.
Some responsibilities you may have in this role are:
- Creation of process flow diagrams.
- Using CAD to model process equipment and interactions.
- Support with day-to-day engineering work.
