ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Developer in the Improvement Systems and Technology team, you will pray a crucial role in serving the needs of the public by providing critical services and solutions.
You will work with a range of business and technical teams to design, build and deploy software. You will work on legacy and contemporary software throughout the entire development lifecycle and ensure work is within established practices and protocols in an enterprise environment
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has worked in a collaborative environment before and is motivated to make a difference in the lives of Kiwis. The client has extensive career growth and development plans in place to help you achieve your goals.
DUTIES
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, integrate and maintain applications.
- Contribute to design and strategy, development and any other technical reviews as needed.
- Guide and mentor other developers in the team
- Work with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new features and enhancements.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experienced in integrations using the IBM tools and frameworks or similar.
- Understanding of enterprise level software development practices (large complex environments), including the use of source control repositories, leading peer review practices, and change/release processes
- Familiar with DevOps practices and iterative development
- Experience with CI/CD processes and tools.
- Experience with varied application/web servers.
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and is willing to work as part of an Agile Scrum Team.
