The opportunity:
We are looking for Loaders/ Dispatch Team Members to join our fast-paced Warehouse located in Mangere, near Auckland International Airport.
- Immediate Start
- This position is a 6 month contract but it could likely become permanent
- Shift timings: 12.00 am to 8.00/8.30 am (approx. end time)
- Roster: 5-6 days/week, Sunday to Friday
- Location: Ihumatao Road, Mangere, South Auckland.
- Wages: $24 per hour + $1.50 per hour night allowance
The role:
- Loading/ hand stacking goods into trucks in the assigned sequence
- You will be working in a chilled environment, approx. 9degrees. Gear will be provided.
- Coordinating and ensuring that the orders are packed on time.
- Stacking and wrapping pallets including empty kegs and crates.
- Working closely with our drivers to ensure service levels are met and maintained
- You will also be required to assist the team with packing and strapping of goods for delivery
- Maintaining a neat and tidy workplace at the end of your shift.
The right candidate:
This role can be physically demanding with some manual handling therefore a good level of fitness/health is required for this position. You will have:
- Be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 25 kg. The job involves hand loading and hoist work.
- Have a great attitude towards work and be a fast learner.
- Possess good organizational and time management skills.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude and a great sense of humour.
- Reasonably good literacy and numeracy skills
- Hands-on experience in loading and dispatch in a food warehouse/logistics would certainly be beneficial.
- Class 2 truck license will be beneficial but not compulsory.
