Whakatāne Hospital has an opportunity for a Café Assistant to join their team on a casual basis.

The successful applicant must be available to work when required across Monday to Sunday with an opportunity to cover shifts for staff on leave including weekends and public holidays.

The main duties of the role are:

  • Operating the cafeteria, serving customers & cleaning duties
  • Serving lunch, checking food temps & rotation of foods
  • Daily stock take, restocking of goods
  • Preparing barista beverages

  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills

  • Be a New Zealand citizen/resident or have a current work visa
