We are looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Manager - Financial Accounting your main task will be to provide accounts payable support for day to day New Zealand Finance operations.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Process invoices (invoice receipt) in SAP that have been received from the NZ Business.

  • Ensure purchasing controls/DOA in place have been followed before processing invoices.

  • Form part of the Ariba supplier on-boarding process and review applicable information with the NZ Business Optimisation team.

  • Obtain familiarity with our Veolia Asset Management System (VAMS), the current business purchasing tool for NZ (system and interface process);

  • Assist with monthly payment reporting where applicable (mid-month balances for cash flow etc);

  • Process intercompany invoices after authorisation, and check the other business units to ensure the invoices/balances match on a monthly basis. Follow up unprocessed invoices with NZ Manager.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Experience in accounts payable roles will be beneficial,

  • Have awareness of internal controls, and how they work in a large business;

  • Experience with NZ GST

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
