About the role

As Duty Manager you are instrumental in assisting the General Manager in leading a team of professionals with experience from all around the world. The position will require you to take care of the overall day to day running of the business which includes floor and bar service, staff management, stock ordering and management, maintaining the upkeep of the venue and having a proactive business management approach to all challenges.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic and positive individual who thrives on working effectively in a busy environment.

A peoples person by nature, you will have a strong business acumen and be ever aware of how to improve the customers experience.

An understanding that it's people that make a bar /restaurant successful you will be able to quickly earn the trust and respect of your peers through leading by example, providing effective and immediate solutions whilst adhering to company standards and high service levels.

With an eye for improving business you will always aim to increase revenue and profitability whilst minimising costs.

Skills and experience

All candidates must hold a current LCQ & valid Managers Certificate for New Zealand.

Have a minimum 2 years experience in senior role in the hospitality sector at a venue equivalent to The Conservatory, either here or overseas.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ideally in more than just English.

Proven track record of delivering results within a highly competitive, customer-focused environment.

Positive and friendly attitude, and a deep understanding and compassion for the growth and health of your team and the business as a whole.

You will be able to work closely with the kitchen, bar, floor staff and work collaboratively and seamlessly to get results.

Pay negotiable based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $27.00 – $28.00 per hour
